A "catalyst" is exactly what I had been in need of for the past few years. Something was missing in my relationship with God. I loved the Lord and served Him just like most christians say they do, but I still felt like I was in desperate need of God. God gradually and by His goodness, began to reveal His Word and will for my life. We left our home church of over 10yrs in May this year and tried to find a new home church for us to serve in. Quick Note: When feeling dissatisfied with your local church, "it" almost always has nothing to do with the church, but with the individual. Had to clarify because I am not of the opinion that you should uproot your seeds sown, in anything for that matter, just because you are upset and don't agree with something in the system. With my case however, it was definetly God. Catalyst church has been the answer to my prayer. Jonathan Herron is an awesome leader! Some leaders have a heart for those who are very rich, who are very important, etc.. you get the picture. But I have chosen to follow Jonathan as he follows Jesus because in my eyes, he seems to really be doing what Jesus was doing in scripture. He has the heart of a Biblical evangelist, and the leadership of a Biblical pastor. He is trying to influence a city where previous christians have only hurt the name of Christ. We desire, by God's power, to make Jesus known and trusted by the city and residents of Kent, and we know this is going to take a lot of hard work. Like Jonathan teaches..."Work Like It Depend On Us, and Pray Like It Depends On God"!
So if you are reading my blog and are possibly looking for a home church, or know someone who is, pleas come by and check us out, we really need all the help we can get.
